Who each one suits.
You are on Android.
Bloom, Unpluq and Opal work on Android, like Brick. Unpluq needs a subscription for its tag to work. Norma and Foqos are iPhone only.
You want to spend as little as possible.
Screen Time is free and already on your iPhone. Foqos is free and works with any NTAG213 NFC tag you buy yourself, or with a printed QR code.
You want the block to reach your Mac.
Norma blocks the sites and apps you chose on your Mac, on the same scan. Foqos has a free Mac app for websites. Opal has a Mac app on its subscription. Brick and Bloom have none today.
You want an object made of metal.
The Bloom card and the Norma disc are both stainless steel. Bloom is cheaper and thinner; Norma is heavier and made to sit out in view.

När en session startar på din iPhone blockeras sajterna du valde på din Mac också, i alla webbläsare. De kommer tillbaka när du skannar igen.

- Blockering: Skanna en gång så stängs de valda apparna av. Välj apparna du vill bli av med och starta en session. De är borta tills du skannar din Norma igen.
- Förval: Ett förval för varje del av dagen. Bygg förval med eget namn, ikon och appar. Växla mellan arbete, sömn eller middag och starta rätt på en sekund.
- Håll in: Starta utan brickan. Håll in knappen i tre sekunder för att starta en session. Att avsluta den kräver fortfarande en skanning.
- Timer: Sessioner som slutar av sig själva. Ge sessionen en längd. När tiden är ute avslutas den själv och apparna kommer tillbaka.
- Hårdlås: Ingen väg ut före slutet. Lås en session en bestämd tid. Innan den löper ut går inget att låsa upp, inte ens med en skanning.
- Kvällsläge: Fokus som börjar av sig själv. Välj en tid på kvällen så startar sessionen utan dig. På morgonen är apparna fortfarande låsta tills du skannar.
- Webbplatser: Blockera webben på din Mac också. Välj sajterna från din iPhone, så blockerar samma session dem på din Mac också.
- Statistik: Se tiden du får tillbaka. Total fokustid: idag, denna vecka och månad. Nuvarande och bästa svit, längsta session och dina lugnaste timmar.
- Topplista: Tävla, om du vill. Av som standard. Slå på den för att jämföra din fokustid.
- Utmärkelser: Sviter och milstolpar. Märken låses upp i takt med att din fokustid växer.
- Snart: Fokus som vet var du är. Sätt en plats på kartan så startar sessionen när du kommer fram. Avsluta genom att skanna där eller lämna området.
What Norma doesn’t do.
On these three points, others do better.
No Android.
Norma works on iPhone and Mac. If your phone runs Android, Brick is the right choice. We’d rather tell you here than after you order.
Norma costs more.
We are not the cheapest option, and we don’t try to be. There is no permanent sale and no countdown: one price, paid once.
No free version.
You need the disc to use Norma. Screen Time and Foqos cost nothing to try, and they are a good way to find out whether a block is enough for you.

It depends on your phone and what you want to pay. On Android: Bloom, Unpluq (with a subscription) or Opal. For nothing: Screen Time, or Foqos with your own NFC tag. For a block that also applies on your Mac: Norma, Foqos (websites only) or Opal.
Yes. Norma, Bloom and Foqos need no subscription, like Brick. Unpluq requires a subscription for its tag to work. Opal has a limited free tier and a Pro subscription.
No. Brick says it does not support iPads or computers for now. Norma has a free Mac app that blocks the sites and apps you chose on the same scan as your iPhone.
No. Norma works on iPhone, with a companion app on Mac. If you’re on Android, Brick supports both systems.
The principle is identical: an object you tap that cuts the apps you chose. The concrete differences are the Mac (Norma applies the block on the computer), automatic triggering by place or time, and the fact that Norma is iPhone-only where Brick also covers Android.
No. The disc is bought once and the app is included, with no subscription and no in-app purchase.
Screen Time is switched off in seconds in Settings. Norma builds on Screen Time but makes unlocking depend on an object: if the disc is in another room, the apps stay blocked.
Yes. You have 14 days to return your disc under the European right of withdrawal.
