Norma

Why we made a disc.

Norma started with a frustrating observation: the device we rely on for everything is also the one quietly taking our attention — and no app living on that same phone was ever going to fix it.

Apps can’t fix apps.

Screen Time, app timers, grayscale, focus modes — they all run on the phone you’re trying to step away from. The off switch is always one tap away, in the exact moment you have the least will to resist it. So the limits get ignored, the apps get reinstalled, and nothing really changes.

So we made it physical.

Norma is a single piece of stainless steel. You decide which apps it blocks, then you scan it — and they disappear until you scan again. The disc has to be there, and you have to physically reach for it. That small, deliberate friction is the whole point: it’s the difference between a promise you make to yourself and a boundary you can actually feel.

What we believe.

Friction, not willpower

The right amount of effort, in the right place. Enough to make you pause — never enough to get in your way.

No subscription, no battery

You buy it once. It works forever. Nothing to charge, nothing to renew.

No data, no dark patterns

Norma never tracks what you do. There’s nothing to monitor and nothing to sell — it just gets out of the way.

Calm by design

No streaks to protect, no guilt, no noise. Just your attention, back where you want it.

Get your attention back.

One scan to block the noise. Another to bring it back when you choose.
